Music promos mainly have the purpose of entertaining audiences as they are music videos so people will aim to listen to them for entertainment in this instance its gangster paradise, but they could also be used to inform audiences by having the purpose to send a message.

   The target audience for the music promo gangster paradise are people who have a great deal of interest in music and the messages that portray in this case it's about the idea of the life as a gangster and being alone to survive and the type of life that they live with all the violence occurring. The audience expect to see the message being shown in the background in a real-life perspective as well as them actually hearing the message that the music video itself portrays with the combination of music being played in the background. The conventions of the music video are the use of mise-en-scene regarding the different locations shown but all linking to what is being said as well as the use of various camera angles throughout the music promo.

The message of the music promo is illustrating an in-depth perspective of the mental processes of a prototypical gangster and the idea of this violent lifestyle driven by criminal activities. In other words, it portrays that those who cross this individual are most likely going to be killed by him. The music promo conveys the message its aiming to send to the audience effectively through the idea of the type of that a gangster has to live and the fact of death being a normal part of life and having to survive on the streets and are not able to live a normal life as they born into street life. The purpose of the trailer for the film Avengers infinity war is to inform the audience as trailers are aimed at providing a brief insight into what a specific movie is about in this case the movie is infinity war; the trailer also aims at entertains the audience by the fact that it is a trailer for an anticipated marvel movie meaning that the trailer will provide a sense of entertainment towards the audience as well.

The target audience of infinity war would be aimed towards those who are interested in science fiction since the entire movie has aspects of a science fiction throughout the film with the focus of aliens and the aspects of various planets being where the events of the movie take place. This film also contains a lot of action-based scenes involving conflict the good and the evil. Since the main audience for this film are those who are interested in marvel then they would expect the idea of heroes (Avengers) joining together to protect their planet from an evil force that is aiming to destroy life. The generic conventions that are seen within the film are the ability to teleport, extra-terrestrial lifeforms and fictional worlds etc. all come into play within the movie through various forms of different conventions through the use of the ability to harness the powers of objects (infinity stones) that are imbued with the power to control different aspects of existence.  

The trailer for Avengers infinity war portrays the message of heroes facing their greatest threat and having to team up again to protect the universe from evil and has been fought all over the universe to find immensely powerful crystals that control an essential aspect of the universe and can destroy life on devastating level. The meaning of the trailer is conveyed quite effectively this is because the fact that these heroes having to join together even after going separate ways shows that they all share the same goal of protecting life regardless of what they have gone through in the past against their greatest threat which is portrayed well as despite the fact that they are all seen in separately and not together they are all still defending against evil. On the other hand, the trailer does not provide a deeper understanding into the reason behind the antagonist (Thanos) aiming to find these infinity stones but only limit the information to the audience by the idea that the antagonists are looking for these stones. This shares similarities with 'what if?' as they made by the same producer who has implemented the same characters but has just changed the storyline for these characters however both share the idea of these heroes' facing enemies who pose as threats to Earth.

The purpose behind TV programmes also relate to film trailers in the sense that they inform the audience about the events that will take place in the TV programme in this scenario the programme is Falcon and the winter solider which shows parts of episodes of the programme as a hint to audiences but also to entertain at the same time as this is the main idea of the programme itself.

The target audience for the TV programme are mainly aimed towards those interested in both science fiction through the aspect of the technology that is seen within the film as well as the use of the serum that enhances a person's physical attributes regarding their strength also having the action side being implemented as well as having fight scenes within the series. The audience would mainly aim to expect a lot of fighting scenes being added into the series as well as the science fiction side with all the advanced technology being seen. The conventions that are seen within the TV series falcon and winter soldier focus upon the idea over the divide of power between the antagonist and protagonist with the protagonists being outnumbered this is seen in the series and the name relates to this with the main characters being falcon and the winter solider who share the goal of defeating their enemies as well as the objective to understanding their motives.

The message of the TV programme (The Falcon and Winter soldier) mainly relates back to the idea of their old friend and hero has entrusted Steve roger's shield to Falcon who decides not to accept the shield but rather to just let it go which then moves onto Bucky (winter soldier) being against this and wanting him to accept it rather than not take the responsibility of being captain America , the story progresses to show the idea of a 'new' captain America which has a negative view for both characters as they believe Steve was the only true captain America, then having to team up to face a common enemy. The Tv programme conveys the message that its aiming to send to its audience effectively this is because the message of the programme is about how friends who both have a mutual friend are trying to keep his legacy going and have to team up to stop people who have unnatural strength who are trying to complete their objective where the protagonists are aiming to prevent this. The programme conveys its idea of being an action programme through the number of fight scenes that we see in the programme. On the other hand, the trailer for the programme does not provide information on the mystery behind the motive behind these antagonists and how they got much stronger. 

Game

Since call of duty is a video game the purpose would mainly be to sell the product to the audience who would be gamers in this instance so by providing gameplay to spark interest in audiences to purchase the game however the purpose could also be to entertain audiences by the use of the gameplay which may pose as a factor of both entertainment and selling the product.

The target audience for call of the duty would be those who are interested in FPS games as well having the side of science fiction to it as it features these fiction aspects that are implemented into the video game. The audience expect FPS games like this one to have a variety of game modes that involve the objective of defeating other opponents that have been also given the same objective of aiming to gain the most points at the end of the game. The codes and conventions for call of duty are action sequences that are used as the primary purpose behind the game itself that audiences play it for is the action of the game of having to defeat other opponents by sh**ting them using various weapons that players have the option of using this appeals to the audience because the idea of defeating other opponents using g*ns and other sorts of weaponry is the sole purpose of the game itself and is what gamers expect to see when a new Call of duty game is released. The use of different camera angles is another convention that the game implements as players are able to play either in first or third person as well as observing the area surrounding players ,  this also appeals to audience as the use of these angles are relatable to the game itself with the primary one being in first person which of course fits the idea of the game being FPS but also the other angles of the game depending on how a player decides to choose the angle that they use.

The main message behind the game that is being sent to audiences is the fact that it's an FPS game and relates to conflict between soldiers , AI and advanced robotics which are programmed for warfare , gamers have different objectives that they can choose to complete through the various game modes that are available for players within the game, so overall the message of the game is to fight for survival and have to defeat opponents using different types of armoury that they have at their disposal. The trailer for COD (call of duty) conveys its meaning behind the game itself within the trailer regarding being a game related to violence through modern warfare with the objective of destroying each other this mainly involving the war between humans and robots fighting to kill each other. However, the trailer doesn't provide a deeper understanding into why this war has begun and what are they both truly aiming to fight for in this game so this limits audiences being able to understand the main backstory behind the campaign for the game. This is similar to falcon and the winter solider this is because of the use of weapons which are seen in both call of duty and falcon and the winter solider as they both implement the use of weaponry in different ways.

The target audience for the animation what if are people interested in science fiction as well as animations in itself as well as those interested in science fiction. The target audience for what if? would mainly expect to see aspects of a generic science fiction such as fictional worlds, aliens and the idea of characters having special abilities, as well as action scenes involving conflict between good and evil. the generic codes and conventions focus on the plot itself which is seen to a central conflict between the heroes and the villains as well as the futuristic technology that is seen within the trailer, this appeals to the audience as it is a science fiction the audience would expect to see heroes and villains having special abilities as well as having fictional worlds as the setting for the events that take place within the movie.

This relates to Avengers infinity war as they both have heroes with the objective to defend Earth from various forces of evil and are also made by the same producer.

Idents mainly inform about what the channel is about and educate viewers about the channel that the ident refers to.

The target audience for idents relate to what the ident relates to or what it based off of, for channel 4 the ident focuses upon estates meaning that the channel will be based on estates so it just informing and educating viewers about the channel. The generic codes and conventions involve the idea of basis of the ident itself relating to the channel that is being played just as the ident ends. This appeal due to the fact that the channel 4 ident estates tell viewers what the programme is about providing an overview.

The ident for channel 4 conveys the idea of it being available to everyone this is due to the fact of the setting of where the ident is filmed which is shown as being an urban/rural place which describes the fact that it's targeted towards everyone regardless of their current state of where they live. The message is conveyed effectively this is due to the fact that the idea of this ident for channel 4 hasn't got a specific target audience it shows this due to the state of the area where this is filmed this not having the best living conditions for residents but regardless of this people in these areas are still able to watch channel 4. This is similar to infinity war this is due to the idea of inclusion being implemented into both the trailer and the ident as there are aliens, humans etc within infinity war and the idea of various people being targeted regarding the ident.
